CNA CLASSES (Class dates are listed under the registration tab)

Certified nursing assistants may also be called nursing assistants, or patient care assistants. CNAs work directly with patients and nurses, helping with the many physical and complex tasks of patient care. Some of their responsibilities include: Turning or moving patients and providing activities of daily living for those in need of assistance.

The class holds 9 students, clinical holds 9 students days, and 9 evenings. First come first serve.

Costs (Work-One for financial or payment plan)

  • CNA cost $1275.00 (CPR included)
  • Payment reimbursement through job for Out of pocket payers
  • CPR training & registration for license testing are included in the cost.
  • Class Book included in the cost.

CNA Hours

7-week course:

30 hours Classroom/Lab (The lecture portion can be via Zoom. NOT the clinical portion)

75 clinical hours at Spring Mill Health Campus, Brentwood of Hobart, Towne Centre, and more 

Classroom

Monday or Thursday
10:00 am to 5:00 pm (for 7 weeks)

Clinical

Friday & Saturday (Subject to change)

Days 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (for 5 weeks) or Evenings 3:00 pm to 10:30 pm (5 weeks) (evening is subject to change)

Criteria

  • Must be 17 or older
  • No High school diploma or GED is needed (If paying out of pocket)
  • TB test (2 step)
  • Physical
  • Background check done by the school (Included in cost)

Supplies Needed

  • Scrubs and BP kit & stethoscope can be purchased for a discounted price at Scrub Outlet on US 30.
  • Scrub color (Gray).

QMA CLASSES (Class dates are listed under the registration tab)

Zoom/on-line is available

A Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) is a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) who has completed additional training, annual in-service training, and demonstrated competency.

A high school diploma or GED required

Cost: $1350 (book and test cost included) (payment plan available)

Hours: 100 total

Tuesday or Friday (One day a week for 9 weeks)

60 hours of classroom time

40 hours clinical (Spring Mill Health Campus, Golden living of Merrillville, Brentwood of Hobart plus more)

Classroom hours: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Clinical: On your own time after completing your 9-week classroom hours.

Cost: $200.00

The Insulin Administration Education Module is an OPTIONAL training for current and future QMAs.
